On the occasion of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Council and Election 2025, I extend my warmest greetings and congratulations to all the doctors of the country, especially the dedicated members of DAB.
This election has brought a big change in the history of DAB. For the first time, all members are getting the opportunity to choose their leadership by voting directly. This is a reflection of our democratic spirit – where transparency, participation and trust are created. DAB is not just a professional organization – it is part of our national history, independence and human values. In addition to protecting the rights of doctors, DAB has always taken a clear stand for justice, humanity and democracy.
The health sector has been given top priority in the 31-point program announced by our party. We want to build a health system that is affordable, quality and modern for all. Where doctors will be respected, there will be accountability in health administration, and the people will get dignified services.
I believe that DAB can be a strong partner in achieving this goal – by actively participating in research, consultation, policy-making and public awareness-building.
Let this election be the beginning of new possibilities for DAB. We want DAB to become a strong platform to protect the dignity of doctors and the people’s right to healthcare.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the members of the election management committee. Their hard work and dedication made this election a success.
